Dear Friends,

Picture an elderly woman at home, widowed, struggling about on a walker, and enduring arthritis pain while she goes about her daily activities.  She looks out of her window as she’s preoccupied with her health and finances and worried about tomorrow.  Now picture that same woman as your mother - or maybe she’s your grandmother or great aunt.  Will you help her today?  Support our 2010 Annual Fund with a gift of $100.  Please note that any gift amount is always welcomed.

Currently we anticipate receiving funding cuts from the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  You can help make sure that senior citizens are not adversely impacted.  But we need your help now.

I understand that the economic uncertainty in our country right now causes economic uncertainty in your family.  You are worried about tomorrow as well.  So are we, but one certainty at the A.W. Watts Senior Center is we are focused on our mission to serve seniors and our mission has not changed.  It’s still a worthy cause to support.

Your $100 gift provides a month of needed home services so that a dusty floor is not the reason she slips, falls, and finds herself in an emergency room.  Your $100 gift also provides a “Meals on Wheels” so that she maintains her current health.  Thank you for your time and consideration.
